Carver Park Mural
Due to its exposure to elements over time, Carver Park’s far wall is in need of replacement. This provides an opportunity to celebrate George Washington Carver’s lifelong love of plants and their artistry through a mural. Designed and painted by a local artist, this mural will add to the park’s visual expression of the many facets of Carver’s life. The illuminated artwork will draw visitors into the park to learn more about Carver’s life and its significant impact.
Downtown Flower Baskets
The flower baskets that line our Historic Courthouse District have long been a point of pride for our community, and a breathtaking display for all who visit. The Friends of Winterset Park and Recreation is excited to continue this tradition, and restore it to its original beauty!
