President
Our parks are important because they are a way for children and adults to stay active and involved with other residents within Winterset. City Park, Clark Tower, Cedar Lake are real gems, and we are very fortunate to have these facilities here for us to utilize. I’m excited to lead the Friends of Winterset Parks board, as it’s a way for me to get involved and pay back our community like so many previous generations did before me.

Linda Kaysen
Vice President
The importance that our city has placed on maintaining and improving the quality of the amenities that we have is remarkable. When someone visits our parks, they are in awe of what this small town has to offer. I love that the Winterset Parks & Recreation Department has so many different programs for all ages and even a dog park for our four-legged friends. I believe that the Friends of the Winterset Parks Board can make a difference in both maintaining the programs and facilities that we have as well as supporting future projects.

Ellen Wade
PR/Marketing
I’m excited to get involved with a program that has such a large impact on our community. Between the programs and special events offered, facilities maintained and plans for future projects, nearly everyone who lives or visits Winterset is positively impacted by our Parks and Recreation Department. I’d like to support the continued
enhancement of our quality of life.

Jane Rosien
Board Member
I have many fond memories of parks & rec from childhood. My first job was working in the local parks in my community, and my dad was on our local park board for more than 30 years. I am interested in figuring out how to close the gap between the survey data of how many people feel positively about parks and recreation versus how many people participate, as well as expanding the scholarship, or other opportunities, to make programs available to those who may not be able to afford to participate and remove other barriers to participation.
