Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Clark Tower in Winterset, Iowa, by taking on the inaugural Clark Tower 5K Trail Run; a scenic, chip-timed race through one of Iowa's most beautiful and historic parks.

Starting and finishing at the iconic Stone Pedestrian Bridge, this unique course winds through Historic City Park, where you'll experience breathtaking views and run past some of Winterset's most treasured landmarks, including:

• Clark Tower

• The historic South Shelter

• The beautifully restored Bennett Cabin

• North Shelter

• One of the famous Bridges of Madison County

 

The course is primarily gravel with sections along the park's recreational trail, making it the perfect introduction to trail running while still offering a fun challenge for experienced runners.

• Chip-timed 5K

• Scenic gravel and trail course

Kids Fun Run
Bring the whole family! Kids 12 and under can participate in our FREE Kids Fun Run (approximately 1 mile), which takes place before the 5K. Once all young runners have crossed the finish line, the 5K will begin.

 

Children ages 12 and under who wish to run the full 5K should register as a standard participant.

Parking Information
Please plan to arrive early. Historic City Park will be closed to vehicle traffic on race morning. Parking will be available at the Martin Marietta Softball Fields. It is approximately a ½-mile walk to the start/finish Line at the Stone Pedestrian Bridge.
